Forks and my daughter is there alone and she just called a while ago and said that they've
asked the whole city to evacuate, is that correct?
We're doing a voluntary, what that means is that they have some place to go, we're recommending
that they leave.
I mean it's not like the whole city is flooding, it's just right now if there's someplace else
to go it would be better to get out type of thing.
Right now the number you called is the EOC number, the Emergency Operations Center and
they were located in the police department building where I'm at but it's flooding here
so they're relocating out to the university and they have a lot more information than
I have, all I have is not much what I can tell from what I've heard so they're supposed
to get their lines reconnected so if you could just try this number back I know it's probably
going to be tough waiting that long but just like in 20 minutes there's supposed to have
the lines back up and they're the ones that are doing all the evacuation and everything
and they'd have that information because I have nowhere to steer you right now because
they didn't leave us any forwarding numbers or any cell phones or anything.
So about 20 minutes I should be able to call this number and get through?
We're hoping, yep, they've been down for about an hour and they told us it would only be
about half an hour so we're hoping in the next 15 to 20 minutes.
Okay and then is there anyone there that I could ask or you can give me a number to ask
that if I have my daughter leave I was going to have her fly out to Grand Forks tomorrow?
Okay, I don't know if the airport is going to be open or what their situation is out there.
Right, yeah, well I don't know if it will be open but my question is I want to find
out what she should do to our home as far as turning things off, electrical things,
I don't know, I don't know anything about it.
Okay, yes.
My husband's not there either.
Okay, they would be able to tell you about his number.
That number, right.
Right.
Okay, thank you very much.
Bye bye.
Bye bye.
