Born August 17, 1856, in Clymer, NY
Died December 26, 1937, in Tucson, AZ
Federal Judicial Service: Judge, U.S. District Court for the District of North Dakota Received a recess appointment from Grover Cleveland on August 31, 1896, to a seat vacated by Alfred D. Thomas; nominated to the same position by Grover Cleveland on December 8, 1896. Confirmed by the Senate on February 18, 1897, and received commission on February 18, 1897. Assumed senior status on June 2, 1928. Service terminated on December 26, 1937, due to death.
