During their monthly meetings, the members would discuss different types of plants, ways to care for them, and shows or events. The club was part of the Eleventh District of the State Horticultural Society and the Minnesota State Horticultural Society. Club members attended an annual show held in various places throughout the district in August or September, where gardeners from all over the district would bring arrangements of different flowers and plants to be judged.
