Rev. Victor D. Luiken Papers, 1972-2008
"Pastor Victor Luiken retired from active pastoral ministry in June 2008, after serving 36 years as the Senior Pastor of Faith Evangelical Free Church, in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
He graduated from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago (1966), the University of Northern Iowa (1968), and Dallas Theological Seminary (1972).
He served on several state and national boards of the Evangelical Free Church of America and taught one year at Dallas Seminary while on sabbatical from Faith Free. He also served as the interim pastor for Salem E. Free Church in Fargo (2009-2010), Calvary Church at Village Green in Moorhead (2013-2014), and Faith Baptist Church in Detroit Lakes (2015-2016, 2018).
Pastor Luiken and his wife Marilyn have been married since 1966 and together they are spending time between Grand Forks and Eagle Lake, north of Park Rapids, Minnesota, with visits to their daughter and son-in-law and two grandchildren in Hudson, Wisconsin.
Pastor Luiken's maternal grandfather was a pastor, two uncles and aunts were missionaries to Africa and the Orient, and he married the eldest daughter of his hometown pastor."
