Administrative/Biographical History
The Northern Interscholastic Press Association (NIPA) was established at the University of North Dakota. The purpose of NIPA is to help promote and improve school newspapers and yearbooks through a variety of workshops and other activities. High schools from the region submit yearbooks and school newspapers to NIPA for judging. The newspaper and yearbook judged to be the best is awarded a trophy at the annual spring convention held at the Memorial Union at UND.
