Administrative/Biographical History
Organized on April 23, 1963 in Mandan, North Dakota, the Zonta Club of Mandan is a chapter of Zonta International, an international service organization with a membership of 30,000 executive women. The first elected officers of the Mandan club were: Gertrude Needham, President; Maret Rowe, Vice President; Josephine Zahm, Secretary; Irene Theisen, Treasurer. The club holds fund raisers, distributes Christmas gifts to needy children, sponsors a candidate for Mother of the Year, and engages in many other charitable activities throughout the year.
