Records of a family that settled in Pembina County, Dakota Territory, in 1881.
Administrative/Biographical History
The origins of this branch of the Ault family began in 1881 when two sons of Nicholas Ault, John and Charles, arrived in Pembina County in the Red River Valley. They came from the St. Lawrence River Valley in Ontario. Upon deciding to settle here, the brothers returned to Ontario and many family members came back with them to begin a new life.
