Administrative/Biographical History
Sylvan E. Hubrig was born on September 26, 1926 to Gustave and Anna Hubrig in Fairmont, North Dakota. He was employed by Fairmont Foods in Moorhead, Minnesota from 1944-1950, and then was a business representative of Building Laborers Union from 1950-1955. Hubrig then became a representative of the Teamsters Union starting in 1955.
Hubrig was involved in many organizations, such as Kiwanis, Senior Citizens, and president of the Anti-Drug Crusade, the National Anti-Drug Foundation, and the Teamsters Union in Minot.
Hubrig married Eunice Webe at Barnesville, Minnesota, in 1948. The couple had six children: Kay, Myles, Vicki, Rocky, Kevin, and Karen.
