Scope and Contents: The Arline Bryant Momeyer Papers include newspaper clippings regarding Momeyer's career as a Shakespeare scholar with particular reference to her artistic talents and financial support in the construction of the Globe Theatre in Odessa, Texas. Also included are materials related to the production of “All the World’s a Stage,” a film based on the play of the same title. The film was written by Momeyer as a documentary on the life of William Shakespeare. The second folder contains a nine-page typescript titled “Arvilla,” which chronicles the history of the town from its founding in 1882 by Momeyer’s grandfather, Ferdinand Davis Hughes. The third folder includes photocopies of photographs of the Hughes and Hersey bonanza farms in Arvilla, while the fourth folder contains miscellaneous items.
