Administrative/Biographical History
James W. Farrier was born March 11, 1848, in Canada West (present day Ontario). He grew up in Canada before coming to the United States about 1872. Farrier lived in Alpena County, Michigan, before moving west around 1883 and acquired land in Ramsey County, North Dakota. Farrier eventually farmed in Alberta and Oregon, before settling in Long Beach, California. James W. Farrier died December 17, 1925.
