The first annual Northern Great Plains History Conference was held in Grand Forks at the University of North Dakota in 1966. The conference's location is rotated between different sites in the northern states each year.

Acquired:
12/06/2001. There have been multiple additions to the collection, usually following each annual conference. Major additions were received from Jerry Tweton (via Kim Porter) in September 2005 (2005-2794), from Kim Porter in March 2015 (2015-3282), Bill Lass in July 2015 (2015-3285) and Harl Dalstrom (2024-3516).
Restrictions: Open for inspection under the rules and regulations of the Elwyn B. Robinson Department of Special Collections.
