Collection Material Type: Diaries
Scope and Contents: Anna Helen Nash's Day Book primarily contains accounts of her work as a nurse from November 1915 through May 1918. In her diary she keeps accounts of the patients she worked for, and how much she was paid for assisting each patient. She also was sure to note when and how patients died. She also kept tabs on the addresses of other nurses she worked with. Although the "diary" was written in an address book, the addresses she took note of were not necessarily placed in alphabetical order. The book becomes more like a diary at the beginning of the "B" tab, and many pages are blank. In the "Mc" tab, there are recipes for coffee cake and bread dough. The book has a number of misspellings. Most notably, the word "died" is often spelled "dyed."
