Andrew H. Walker was born on February 1, 1848, in Noderhove, Norway. He emigrated to the United States in 1865 and moved to Walsh County in 1880. He married Ellen Gunderson in 1884 and together the couple had five sons and three daughters. Andrew was active in Walsh County business and political affairs and served one term in North Dakota House of Representatives from 1907 until 1908. He died on November 11, 1938, and is buried in Park River, North Dakota.
