The Grand Forks Historic Preservation Commission was created in 1987 to oversee potential changes to historic properties and structures in Grand Forks. Since it was established, it has kept many historic buildings from either being torn down or changed in a way that would fail to preserve their historical value.

06/23/1999. Numerous additions have been received from the Grand Forks Historic Preservation Commission. Steve Hoffbeck, UND History Department, donated materials in May 1992 (93-1884).
Restrictions: Open for inspection under the rules and regulations of the Elwyn B. Robinson Department of Special Collections.
