Catherine Jane Baker was born on October 24, 1912. She received a teaching certificate from the State Normal School in Valley City in 1931. She continued her education at the University of North Dakota and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education in 1934.
She married Arthur Timboe and had three children: Gay, Mary Frances, and Arthur Richard.
Catherine Timboe died on July 29, 1997, in California.
