Collection Historical Note
Since the founding of the University of North Dakota in 1883, UND has reported to governing bodies with several different names: University Board of Regents (1883-1889); University Board of Trustees (1889-1915); State Board of Regents (1915-1919); State Board of Administration (1919-1939); and the State Board of Higher Education (1939-present).
