Administrative/Biographical History
Alfred D. Keator was a librarian at the University of North Dakota from 1918 until 1928. He was born in Accord, New York, on June 8, 1886. He graduated from Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1910. He also earned a Bachelor of Library Science degree from the University of the State of New York in 1913. Immediately before his position at UND, Keator was a librarian at Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota.
