Scope and Contents of the Materials

The Winfred V. Working Papers consist of historical materials regarding the Red River Valley, the Dakota Territory, the cities of Walhalla and Pembina, North Dakota, and the Canadian politician Louis Riel. The collection also contains several different newspaper columns written by Working, all on historical matters. Twenty-nine photographs were separated and placed in the Photograph File Cabinet.
