Scope and Contents of the Materials

The Jane Frazer Summers Papers date from 1923-2002 and consist primarily of correspondence. The correspondents include her mother and father; daughters, Anne and Edith; her granddaughter, Edith; her husband, Larry; her sister, Georgana; and numerous other people.  Also included is material related to the North Dakota Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union, Citizens for a Real Choice, the Greater Grand Forks Symphony Orchestra, and Summers' memorial service.

44 photographs were separated and placed in the Photograph Collection.

Accruals: Additional material was donated by Jane Frazer Summers on October 31, 1990 (Acc.91-1734) and May 3, 1996 (Acc.96-2065), and by Anne Summers, Bismarck, North Dakota, on April 21, 2005 (Acc.2005-2744).
