The Vernice Aldrich Papers consist of correspondence, financial records, programs, pamphlets, minutes, reports, articles, manuscripts, periodicals, newspaper clippings, and photographs, primarily 1923-1947. The contents are arranged chronologically.
Correspondence pertains mainly to the North Dakota Wheat Growers Association, Wesley College, and the Psi Gamma Chapter of Chi Omega. In addition, there are folders for the Army Air Force program at UND, and agricultural bulletins and reports. Personal papers include photographs and Christmas cards. There are also articles, manuscripts, and poetry by Aldrich about North Dakota history, agriculture, and cooperatives.
Other contents include assorted brochures, booklets, and newspaper articles. Additionally, several folders pertain to UND and Wesley College include materials on Panhellenic, the Philymnian Club, and the University Club. Presidential campaign and inauguration materials include pamphlets and flyers on the campaigns of Frank O. Lowden and Herbert Hoover, and press releases issued by Vernice, who covered the 1929 Washington DC inauguration. Lastly, a ledger book for the Aldrich Elevator Company (Kempton, ND) contains stock certificates and records (1902-1903).
