Scope and Contents of the Materials

The Kate Richards O'Hare Papers consist mainly of photocopied material relating to her 1917 treason and sedition trial in Bismarck. Several research papers and magazine articles are also included. In addition, there is a bound volume of correspondence from O'Hare to her husband while she was imprisoned.

Accruals: Additional material was photocopied from the National Archives in Washington, DC in 1986 (86-1433). The bound volume of correspondence was donated in 2015 (2015-3302).

Access Restrictions: Open for inspection under the rules and regulations of the Elwyn B. Robinson Department of Special Collections.
