Scope and Contents of the Materials

The Albert Baker and Mamie Kingsland Baker Papers consist mostly of correspondence by Albert to Mamie. Many of these were love letters from "Bert" prior to their marriage in 1903. The collection also contains an Adelphi Society pin that belonged to either Albert or Mamie, and a photograph of their daughter, Mary Catherine. In addition, there is a copy of The Student from January 1896 which lists Mamie Kingsland as one of the literary contributors.

Separated Materials: The 1904 Dacotah annual was removed from the collection and stored with other donated annuals.
