Scope and Contents of the Materials

This collection consists of two examples of paper money. The first is a 50 Assignat note from the time of the French Revolution, dated 23 May 1793. The second is a $3 bill from the Bank of Yanceyville, in Yanceyville, North Carolina, dated 1 January 1855.
