Ships' Passenger Lists, Miscellaneous Ports, 1820-1873

Brief Description: These documents are reproduced from Records of the Bureau of Customs, Record Group (RG) 36 and contain lists of passengers arriving at smaller ports on the Atlantic and Gulf coasts and at ports on the Great Lakes. The lists are arranged alphabetically by the name of the port and thereunder by the date of arrival. Entries include passenger name, age, gender, occupation, country of origin, country to which they entered to become inhabitants, and a remarks column listing those who died in voyage. Some entries also contain ship type as well as the name of the ship and its master. An index by passenger name is not available.
