Brief Description: The Louis Haahr Papers date from 1944-1979, and consists of five folders. The first folder contains correspondence, many of these are written by Haahr to UND Art Professor Paul Barr. There is also correspondence from friends in the military to Haahr's family following his death. The second folder contains writings that Haahr did while overseas, including journal entries, poems, and his will. The third folder contains many drawings that Haahr did both stateside and overseas. The fourth folder contains newspaper clippings, most of which deal with Haahr's death and burial at Ft. Snelling. The fifth folder contains documents from the University varying from programs to information about the Louis Haahr Memorial Award.
