Brief Description: The Rickaby Papers are a small collection of materials regarding his work at the University of North Dakota and his legacy. Among the local materials are selected articles from the Grand Forks Herald (1918-1923) and a tribute after his premature death from The Quarterly Journal of the University of North Dakota (1925). In addition, the collection contains a typescript of his play The Christmas Spirit: A Poetic Fantasy in Two Acts and another typescript about the Dacotah/Dakota Playmakers. Lastly, there are published articles about the life of Rickaby from the Journal of American Folklore (1968) and from California History (2011).
