"The Flu Epidemic of 1918-1919 in Pembina County" was a research paper written by Dale Lasch in 1985 for Ken Gardner's U.S. History course at the Drayton Public School. The paper is twelve pages in length, and contains a detailed listing of deaths in the county, gleamed from several local newspapers. All in all, there were 71 confirmed deaths from August 25, 1918, to March 30, 1919. Lasch reported that there were at least 25 additional unconfirmed deaths.
Also included in the collection is a supplement to the essay entitled "Graph and Maps Detailing the Flu Epidemic of 1918-19 in Pembina County." This includes maps of Pembina County for each week between August 25, 1918, and March 30, 1919, showing deaths in townships throughout the county.
