Senator Andrews and his staff were extremely active media watchers and this is reflected in the large amount of newspaper clippings they kept.  This series consists of those clippings which document the life, career and activities of the Senator.  Users should be aware that an agreed upon system of file naming was not maintained by the Senator's staff.  For this reason, users will want to check both the contents of sub-series 1 and sub-series 3, when looking for clippings from a specified date or regarding a specified subject..

In 1984, Senator Andrews and his wife filed a malpractice claim regarding the care she had received following a meningitis infection. The Andrews' won the suit, but received no finacial damages.
